A school, a hostel, a maktab and a scholarship programme, run from one village in South Gujarat for fifty-eight years.
Introduction
Anjumane Talimul Muslimeen was founded in 1968 by a group of community leaders from Malekpore and the surrounding villages of South Gujarat, who saw a widening education gap in the local Muslim community and decided to close it — starting with scholarships for the poorest students, then growing into a full residential school, hostel and Islamic education programme.
Scholarship disbursement has been recorded every year since 1971-72. The figures on this site come from that ledger, not from an estimate.
Who we are
A non-profit trust, run from one village since 1968
Anjumane Talimul Muslimeen is a registered charitable trust in Malekpore, South Gujarat. It runs a CBSE school, a boys’ hostel, a maktab and a scholarship programme on the same campus — four programmes that most organisations run separately.
The work began when community members from Malekpore, Surat, Valsad, Navsari and Vyara saw a gap in education and welfare for local families. Scholarships were the first step; the school, hostel and maktab grew from that foundation.
Today the Trust serves more than 170 villages across five districts, with scholarship records kept and published since 1971.

What we do
Four programmes that make one pathway
A child can start at the maktab aged five and leave with a degree. Each programme exists because the one before it was not enough on its own.

Anjuman Residential School: CBSE affiliated, classes 1 to 12, free or subsidised for most students.

Scholarship
Financial aid for higher education — medical, engineering, paramedical and other streams. Apply 1 April to 30 June.
How it works -
Hostel
Free boarding for orphans and students from underserved families, classes 1 to 12. Open since 1990.

Maktab
Quranic and character education for children aged 5 to 15, taught alongside their regular schooling.
